Hug or Shrug Game Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility and Participation

1.1 The Game is available to:

• registered members of the Go Hug The World website who are aged 18 years or over, and
• participants using any non-member trial version of the Game, where available, who must also be aged 18 years or over

1.2 A non-member trial version of the Game may be made available from time to time. Trial participation is limited to 5 cards in total. Trial participants do not need to be UK residents.

1.3 Participation is limited to one account per person. Multiple accounts created by the same individual may be disqualified, and any associated rewards or game-related benefits may be forfeited.

1.4 Access to the Game is provided through the secure members area of www.gohugtheworld.com and, where available, through a limited trial access route.

2. Earning Rewards and Game Mechanics

2.1 The Game involves viewing digital cards and indicating a preference by selecting either Hug, Shrug, or Go Hug The World, where available.

2.2 Successful qualifying game actions may earn Huginn Points, as governed by the separate Huginn Points Terms & Conditions. These Game Terms cover the mechanics of playing the Game and any game-specific rewards stated here.

2.3 Daily swiping limits (members).

• Explorer: 20 cards per day
• Navigator: 250 cards per day
• World Hugger: 500 cards per day

We may change these limits from time to time for operational, security, or commercial reasons.

2.4 Go Hug The World action allowance. Each user is granted 1 Go Hug The World action per day unless we notify otherwise. Unused daily access does not roll over.

2.5 Game referral reward. When an invitee signs up using a referrer’s unique referral code and plays their first 25 cards, the referrer will receive 1 bonus game token. This is applied once per eligible invitee.

2.6 The total pool of available cards is curated by Go Hug The World and may change over time. We reserve the right to add, remove, or modify cards at any time without prior notice.

2.7 Game-specific rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or other alternatives unless we explicitly state otherwise.

3. Huginn Points and Redemption

3.1 Any earning, holding, management, or redemption of Huginn Points is governed by the separate Huginn Points Terms & Conditions.

4. Anti-Fraud and Bot Policy

4.1 The Game is intended for manual human interaction only.

4.2 We may employ monitoring technology to detect automated scripts, bots, macros, simulated behaviour, or other tools designed to imitate human use.

4.3 If we reasonably suspect that an account has used automation, exploited a technical vulnerability, manipulated gameplay, or engaged in fraudulent activity:

• we may suspend or terminate the account and/or access to the Game
• we may void associated Huginn Points, rewards, or benefits
• we may permanently ban the individual from future participation in Go Hug The World promotions, membership schemes, or reward systems

4.4 We reserve the right to request proof of genuine manual participation at any time.

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 By playing the Game, you acknowledge that we will collect data relating to your use of the Game, including preferences and interactions.

5.2 This data may be used to help build your Explorer Profile, improve recommendations, personalise planning suggestions, and protect the integrity of the platform.

5.3 All personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 Go Hug The World Limited provides the Game on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Game will be error-free or uninterrupted.

6.2 We are not responsible for technical malfunctions, outages, data loss, or similar issues that affect gameplay, access, or reward visibility.

6.3 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Game at any time. If the Game is permanently terminated, any validly earned Huginn Points will remain subject to the Huginn Points Terms & Conditions and any applicable booking restrictions.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the Game shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
